RSS Feedbags Explained

When I started this blog, I didn't know what the hell an RSS feed was. Quite frankly, it sounds like a terminal disease. I wanted nothing to do with it. It turns out an RSS is not a disease but a method of compiling often updated blogs, newscasts, podcasts, etc. into one interface.

Basically, it put's everything you want to read into one  place so you don't have to endlessly dick around the web by clicking, typing, and searching for your favorite obscene material. Usually this material would be porno, but as far as I know, the technology has been limited to the 2% of the interweb that doesn't consist of face fucking, sodomy, and beastiality. The RSS kingpins are severly limiting their potential market share. Poor business model, guys.

So here's how to set it up:

1. You need an RSS reader, or feed reader of some type. As you'll see by clicking the "Posts" button under the cleverly named "Feedbags" tab to the right, there are various readers available. I recommend hookin it up with your homepage for simplicity sake. I use Yahoo, but Google's good, too.

It's not like anyone can bash Google though. They're slowly taking over the most powerful country in the world. Don't be shocked if Google has a darkside hellbent on world domination. You heard it hear first.

2. To add the blog, click on one of the feed readers provided to the right. If you have an account with the respectable feed reader, it should open a new window with the site feed added into to the page. If not, you'll be prompted to create an account.

If you're reader isn't listed, you can still add Jack Slaps manually. When prompted for the feed URL, enter http://feeds.feedburner.com/JackSlaps.

That's really the jist of it. Not as complicated as it sounds. Because I took the time to attempt to explain it, you should return the favor by actually following the instructions. Or kick it old school and faithfully visit the site 12 times a day. That'd be cool too.
